GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Works under the general supervision of the cafeteria manager in performing a variety of duties in the kitchen and service areas to prepare well balances, nutrious meals for students and staff.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least two years experence in large quantity cookery.
- Certificate from the Health Department permitting candidate to handle food.
- Ability to work cooperatively with cafeteria staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Food preparation.
- Food handling from preparation to serving.
- Collect money and/or meal tickets.
- Cleaning of equipment, utensils and designated areas.
- Receiving and storage of food supplies.
- Regular on time attendance.
- Performs related duties as assigned by the manager.
