This is a 10-month/200 day position.
General Description:
The primary role of the TAA will be to mentor and provide support to new and/or provisionally licensed special ed teachers or those needing additional support, particularly in the area of IEP Writing and Specialized Instruction. This position will be supporting the elementary level.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This is a full-time 10 month position at the elementary level
- Assists the school administration and teachers with special education duties and responsibilities
- Works collaboratively with teachers, administrators and all stakeholders to develop and implement a strategic plan based on a shared school mission, vision, and values that embed equity and culturally responsive practices.
- Implements culturally responsive and equitable approaches in all interactions and initiatives and fosters an environment of inclusion by building organizational capacity to establish and maintain a safe and affirming school environment for all
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Endorsement in Special Education and/or Administration and Supervision preferred
- Working knowledge of the Individiuals with Disabilities Education Act (ACT) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA
Educational Supplements:
Master's: +7% of base salary
BA + 15: $750
Teacher National Board Certification: $2000
Doctorate: $2000
